7 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms,
16 car garage
, pool, library, screening room, billiard room, party room with bar, even an orchard. Split 7 ways and everyone can have their own bedroom, their own bathroom, two garage spaces, and the rent would only be a little insane.

2 garage spaces plus dayum, look at that driveway, could easily fit 20 more shitboxes on that bad boy. Throw a prefabbed pole barn type thing on there for more parking
, put some lifts in the garage and bam, done.

I’ll take the pool and the office, thanks!
On the other hand, damn that theatre room is depressing. Is this like formerly an old-folks home or something?

They must want a single family tena nt. A group of new-hire MB A grads would have moved in by now.

Can we all go in on driveway karting? Cuz I’m down.

I feel like $1400/month per person really isn’t terrible, all things considered

I’ll stock and run the bar!

Sounds like a killer deal to me. $1,400 a month gets you a small 2 bedroom here in Burlington.

Lovely house but if there are more than 2 Opponauts in there they are going to be debates about who gets which 16 spaces in the garage since some of us seem to have 2 -30 project cars going on at once.
Otherwise, just give me a few minutes to tell my wife that I am in

Lol, someone took an old farmhouse and literally attached a mansion to it. Also, I call dibs on the room above the garage. I need the shortest distance to stumble after working on my shitbox with a case of beers.

Maybe we can just put together a bid to purchase outright. 7 people with all cash $400k to $500k each. No biggie, right?

Reminder that home ownership in CT is a terrible financial decision:
Monthly rent: $9,900.
Property taxes: $33,200/yr

This room could easily be converted into more parking.
And the “nicest” cars among those living here could park in part of the bar.
Well call them “art.”
(Assuming both rooms have ground level access or room to install a car elevator outside)

Yes, a group of people who generally spend time chatting on-line seems like just the kind to need a “100-person party room.”
(I’m sure we all have healthy friendship groups to some extent, but c’mon.)

First order of business: Commissioning my own “Justification for Higher Education” poster featuring my own home. And I will pull the cars all the way into the garage!
I’m guessing this is supposed to be used for a B&B and event venue above all else. The pricing is probably based on commercial usage.
Here’s a local 15/15, 54,000 sf house in Birmingham that used to belong to an executive at HealthSouth (remember them?) before the accounting scandal. It sold at auction for about a quarter of the asking price.
Guitar-shaped driveway and landscaping? Instant kart track.

What kind of beer selection are we looking at? I mean I’m assuming rotating taps but what are the stables going to be?
Also, preffered scotch brand?

Well, good sir! I am glad you asked...come belly up to my bar!
The standard beers that will never change are Guinness, Einstok White Ale, and Erdinger Oktoberfest! This gives you your Stout, delicious easy drinking white ale, and then a solid flavor German Beer.
Now, we will have Ardbe
g as the standard house Scotch, but we will have an impressive selection of Irish Whiskey such as Teeling, Irish Mist and occasional Jameson special editions.
But we will also maintain a selection of delicious easy drinking rums like Diplomatico, Zaya and Doc Brown’s Very Bad Rum.
We will have excellent glasses and mugs which can hold your drink of choice and we offer free engraving of your mug at no additional cost.

I approve.
As far as beers go, you hit the high points. Beyond those Im a Belgian guy. My most favorite beer in the world is Ommegang 3 Philosophers. My go-to is Victory Golden Monkey. Beyond that I like all manner of strong beers. Im also getting into IPAs, still prefer the citra hopped ones, Cigar City Jai Alai comes to mind.
Ardbeg is a bold choice for house scotch and I appreciate that. My goto was Glen Livets Nardura... until it got crazy expensive around here. I just killed some Highland Park Viking Honor recently and was very impressed. Beyond that I tend to lean towards Macallan.
I am more of a scotch man than whiskey man, but again I appreciate your selections and will be excited to try them. May I also recommend Nikka japanese whisky.
I know very little about rum but am open to trying things. One request is Beefeaters Gin, its my go-to. Theres also a great Genever Gin made in my home town called 10th Ward that I insist on.

Glad you approve. I am not a fan of IPAs, they are like drinking a cup of sawdust. I prefer easy drinking smooth beers with flavor. Something you can have a few of and are relaxing on a hot day or after working in our 16 car garage. No one wants to sweat and go have a nice glass of IPA.
Ardbeg is a Scotch for everyone. It has flavor, it is smooth and has that peet taste a good Scotch should have. A few of their other editions are amazing.
I am more of an Irish whiskey snob. They have more rules to making Whiskey than Scotland Whisky. Note the E is missing. The Irish put everything in whiskey to include the E. I’ve had some Japanese, but nothing has overly blown me away. I’d gladly stock it.
Gin has been something I’ve never gotten into. I’ve tried. Gin and Tonic tasts like TV static.
Rum is easy...and lots to mix with it. Dark and Stormy is my goto. It is ginger beer and rum with a lime. It is refreshing on a hot Florida day.
My bar shall be impressive! And I shall get a supersoaker filled with runoff water for those who want Bud Lite.

I felt the same way about IPAs. I’ve had Headdy Topper, supposedly the greatest beer in the world or some such nonsense, and I didn’t care for it. It’s like biting a lemon, without any sweetness though, just all bitter & sour. But there are some good citra hopped IPAs that are light and juicy which balances the bitterness. I really like all kinds of beer, and IPA certainly isn’t my preference, but knowing there’s a few I like provides for a nice change of pace sometimes.
I need to learn more about Irish Whiskey, as well as other whiskys and bourbons. A lot of my friends are whisky and bourbon snobs , and I gladly sip whatevers put in front of me. I just don’t have enough knowledge or experience to have preferences. I guess there’s just too many to try.
I wouldn’t say I’m “into” gin. I love Beefeaters, and that’s widely regarded as “well, at least it comes in a glass bottle, ” in other words half a step above rail. But I like it. However I do love that local stuff I was talking about. Genever is “proto-gin” and has a more complex flavor profile - it’s almost like a white whisky with some pine and boutanical notes vs. christmas tree juice. If you ever have a chance I’d recommend a try.
Love the S upersoaker idea. Perfect.

Chrismas tree...juice? Yeah, never liked Gin. My friend describes it as drinking a flower. He made a great one when we were in Dublin. I had a sip and immediately ordered my Teeling Single Grain with 1 ice cube....bleh....
There will be a bottle of Malort sitting there for anyone who bad mouths my bar though!

Malort. Hmm, had to look that one up...
Worst liquor ever... how have I not heard of this? I really love trying all manner of diverse, local, weird, bizzare, and often terrible liquors.
At home I have U nicum (imagine Jager + Oregano) , Chartreuse (French herbal stuff that’s not bad ), Palkina (H ungarian rocket fuel), Mai Ja Dam (Thai liquor made from coconut flowers, paint thinner ), Bois Bande (150+ proof firestarter from St. Lucia), and some other weird ones I can’t remember off the top of my head.
Well, time to order a bottle of Malort! Thanks!
